I have had this same issue in the past and have spent hours fixing the issue, only to have it pop up the next day again. There is a corrupt registry that is causing an issue with the program. Uninstalling and reinstalling will not fix it, as this registry does not get deleted or removed during the uninstallation process, if you have any other autodesk software on your computer. It is a solvable problem, but you will spend less time reinstalling your operating system with the full hardrive format option. This will rebuild the registry stack from scratch and allow you to install a clean version of the autodesk software and all the latest drivers for you hardware. I tend to have to do this every couple of years. My pc works faster as a result.
