I don't really get what you mean by "the operating system API". My OS being Windows 10, do you mean this Windows API or simply the .NET framework ?
I found the CustomExporter class in Revit's API and I am currently trying to solve the issue with it. However, if you know faster methods, I would really appreciate learning them.
