I did not know I sounded so green, HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Let me give you just a small summary of my background. I have 18 years in the AEC drafting and design field. Main focus in residential engineering. Drafting and assisting in design, calculations, etc. I estimated residential lumber for a good while, and was hired to build stick frame models for DR Horton through a local engineering company. We provided the material takeoff from Revit. I hated Revit, then I fell in Love <3 HAHAHAHA! Their setup was obviously well thought through, because I never did anything but model, all the while not realizing some companies Revit libraries were horrible, and they were losing a lot of money. I found this large contrast in the next company I worked for. And found that problem in a contract I did for another home builder. So I have about 6 years of Revit experience, all end user, except the last 3 months, a cloud based company has taken me under their wing to groom for BIM consulting, so now I'm diving into all kinds of stuff. LOVE IT! You're blog was one of the top rated in the industry report that my boss creates every year. http://www.hingepoint.com/autodesk-industry-report/
It was like another gentlemen said on the forums, the more I know about Revit the less I know about Revit! But when I'm working in Revit, it does not feel like work in a way that no other job has ever felt like.
Thank you so much for all of your feedback, and I'm going to take your direction!!!!!!!
