Afaik, there are in principle two ways to achieve what you need:

• Place fittings programmatically, connect them, and Revit will auto-generate pipes and ducts to do so.
• Place ducts and pipes programmatically, connect them, and Revit will auto-generate fittings to do so.

Revitalizer's suggestion refers to the former case.
